Food philosophy

Our philosophy, food and truck are designed to blow you away. From sight, to smell to taste. 

Honestly anyone can have a truck in front of a bar and that's all well and good, but few take the time to design and engineer a product and environment where a CEO would want to go to the truck rather than the usual lunch/dinner spot. 

Our aim is to give you the VIP treatment of a 5 star gourmet restaurant on wheels with fast paced, inspiring service.

The Chef's Table Experience

A "Chef's Table" is a special table where guests receive a special meal prepared by a Chef. This means each dish is served with Chef inspired flare.  We provide, hand crafted, mouth watering, addicting, custom dishes at a fast and friendly pace.

Imagine this scenario, you know the Chef at a 5 star restaurant. You want to blow your significant other away with an experience he or she will remember forever. You have it all planned out. You skip the long line and sit him or her down in the most romantic spot of your choosing. The Chef comes out to and as soon as he says hello and gives you a heartfelt welcome, three dishes come to the table. All are custom designed meals prepared exclusively for you and your significant other. Each dish warms the heart, wows your tastebuds and gives you the memories that will last a lifetime.  Now imagine that experience in a food truck. Where a Chef and crew who treat you like family, roll up to your spot with the food you love. The 5 star Chef comes to you. That is an experience you'll always remember.

Ryan Cotterell: Owner, Executive Chef

Attended BHS for high school. Attended New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, VT.

After culinary school I worked for Thomas Keller at Bouchon Bistro in Yountville, CA.

Ryan’s dream as a kid was to be a Chef when he grew up. Throughout the years he has been a Chef at several Restaurants, Guest Ranches, and even as an Executive Chef for a hospital. Through it all he has refined his cooking techniques & skills. Ryan is very passionate about cooking simple food, which he defines by using fewer ingredients in dishes and focusing on the quality of the ingredients. He is French trained, but has experience cooking French, American, Ethnic, Vegan, & Vegetarian dishes. Ryan is a big believer in sustainability and believes that everyone can help reduce waste in landfills. He lives in Bozeman, MT; when he is not traveling or jet setting with his wife Ashley and 3 children; Micah, Callie, & Rylee. Ryan believes that Chef’s Table Food Truck will revolutionize the mobile food industry and  fine dining in Montana and the surrounding states.

Ashley Cotterell: Manager

Ashley was born in Texas, she then moved with her family to Washington State in 2000 where she spent most of her life before moving to Montana in 2012. Ashley had no idea this move to Montana would become a permanent life long love story. In 2012 she started working for KMG Hospitality where she fell in love with the idea serving others and the food industry. In 2013 she started dating her now husband Chef Ryan Cotterell, the two were inseparable. Not only did they share the passion of their love for food but also their passion for the value of family. The two now have three beautiful children. Since leaving KMG, Ashley has been a stay at home mom and has been helping her husband achieve any goal or dream he has. Ashley now is the Sales and Events Manager for Chef’s Table Food Truck.
